Goalkeeper Wonderkids

The goalkeeper is the most specialised position in football. A goalkeeper's job is mainly defensive: to guard the team's goal from being breached (to not let the other team score). Goalkeeper is the only position defined in the FIFA Laws of the Game. Goalkeepers are the only players allowed to touch the ball with their hands and arms, however they are restricted to doing so only within their penalty area; for this reason, they must wear jerseys that distinguish them from other outfield players and the referee. If a goalkeeper is sent off or injured, and there is no substitute goalkeeper available, an outfield player must take the goalkeeper's place and don the appropriate identifying uniform.
The discipline of goalkeeping is so specialised that it is very rare in the professional game for a goalkeeper to play in any other position. One notable exception is Jorge Campos of Mexico, who played effectively as a striker when called upon. A goalkeeper with good technical skill may opt to take his team's penalties and free kicks, though this is rare as the goalkeeper would be caught out of position if possession is conceded immediately after the kick. José Luis Chilavert (now retired) of Vélez Sársfield and Paraguay, and Rogério Ceni of São Paulo FC and Brazil are well-known free-kick and penalty specialists with over 60 goals to their names.
Physical strength, height, jumping ability and judgement are valued qualities for goalkeepers to have in order to deal with aerial balls and agility, quick reactions and a good positional sense are all needed for shot stopping. The standard football skills of ball control, tackling, passing and dribbling are not usually required in a goalkeeper, although the introduction of the back-pass rule in the early 1990s has necessitated improvement on such skills
In football, each team's goalkeeper defends his team's goal and has special privileges within the game. The goalkeeper's main job is to stop any penetration of the ball into the goal.
Therefore, one of the most important aspects of a football team is to be strong defensively, and as far as that goes, the one position that is vital for a team to succeed is to have a good goalkeeper.
Although it is hard to find a wonderkid in this position, below I have found and listed a few of those that I believe either are already, should be, or have the potential to be a wonderkid.

Igor Akinfeev
Igor Vladimirovich Akinfeev, born on April 8, 1986 in Vidnoye, is a Russian Goalkeeper, currently playing for CSKA Moscow.
In the game, Igor Akinfeev is a stable goalkeeper who starts the game at CSKA Moscow. Igor is a player has been a wonderkid in the former versions of Football Manager.
However, In Football Manager 2008 he is not as good as the previous versions of the game. However, even though he isn't as good as the previous games, I still believe he is a top class goalkeeper, and should be looked at by any manager that wants to have a reliable shot-stopper for their team, However, due to him being a well known player, when you try to sign him you may need to pay a lot of money to sign him, this is his downfall, as his club often asks for stupid amounts of money.

Oscar Ustari
Oscar Alfredo Ustari, born on July 3, 1986, inAmérica, Buenos Aires Province, is an Argentinian goalkeeper, currently playing for Getafe CF in Spain.
In the game, Oscar Ustari is a very fast and agile goalkeeper, who starts the game at Getafe, in Spain.
He has the potential to be one of the best goalkeepers in the world, and starts the game off with high stats in a number of the characteristics and traits needed to become a good goalkeeper. With aerial ability already at 19, aswell as other high rating stats such as command of area and communcation at 17, he already has the grounds to be a brilliant goalkeeper, especially considering his age. At only 21 years of age, and stats like that, surely he will potentially be one of the best buys in Football Manager.
He is a definate for any team looking for a safe and reliable goalkeeper.

Shane Supple
Shane Supple, who was born on May 4, 1987 is an Republic of Ireland professional footballer currently playing for Ipswich Town. He is a goalkeeper and a graduate of Ipswich Town's Youth Academy.
In 2004-05 he helped to lead the Ipswich youth team to victory in the FA Youth Cup. On 13 August 2005 he made his first appearance for the Ipswich first team, when an injury to first-choice goalkeeper Lewis Price forced Supple to play for an hour of the match against Leicester City, a game in which he kept a clean sheet.
He retained the number one spot for Ipswich Town, making many fine saves and looks to be an excellent prospect for many years to come.
In the game, Shane Supple starts off on loan at Falkirk and is a player for Ipswich Town. Although scout reports only claim that he will become a decent player, they are wrong, as potentially, I believe he could become a great player, and a brilliant signing for any lower league side, or a good signing for a good team, if his talents are trained and nurtured properly.
As well as this,
he is cheap aswell, so I believe he is a good signing for anyone looking for a reliable goalkeeper.

Tim Krul
Timothy "Tim" Krul, who was born on April 3rd, 1988 in The Hague. Tim Krul is a Dutch footballer who currently plays as a goalkeeper for Newcastle United.
In the game, Tim Krul starts off at Newcastle United. At just 19 years old, he has good stats, and with the right training, he could surely become a world class goalkeeper, however, Newcastle see this potential in him, and wen bidding for him you may need to pay anything from about £7,000,000 to secure his signature.
However, after a few seasons and the right preperation, this could work out to be a bargain as he has the potential to become a brilliant goalkeeper.

Guillermo Ochoa
Francisco Guillermo Ochoa Magaña, who was born on July 13, 1985 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, popularly nicknamed "Memo", is a Mexican football goalkeeper who currently plays for Club America in the Primera División de México.
In the Game, Guillermo Ochoa is a young Mexican goalkeeper who plays for Club America in Mexico. He has high attributes in all of the criteria needed for a good, reliable goalkeeper, and with a valuation at just £1,500,000, is a must for any manager that wants to sign a young and reliable goalkeeper for the team.
